Go Ahead, Impeach Me, I Dare You !!!!!!!!......PART II: The Case Against Bush

Can we continue and let the Bush Administration undermine, and make a mockery of the U.S Constitution? The answer is no. The case against Bush is too strong to just go away without an investigation. Below are six strong cases that the House Judiciary Committee should look into a.s.a.p. Most of these Bush administration mishaps violate the supreme law of the land, our U.S. Constitution:

  1. 2003 Invasion of Iraq- Violates War Powers Clause(Article I, Section 8) and Article VI of the Constitution.
  2. NSA Warantless Surveillance- Bush ordered wiretapping of international calls without proper warrants. Violates Fourth Amendment of Constitution.
  3. Abu Ghraib torture and prison abuse- Violates Geneva Convention Laws, and certain U.S. and International laws involving military detainees and torture.
  4. Possible leaking of CIA agents ( Scooter Libby scandal)
  5. Mishandling of Hurricane Katrina- enough said
  6. Abuse of War Powers Act

In addition you can also throw in the formation of the Patriot Act, which is unconstitutional in many areas. Also, the 2000 presidential election ballots in Florida, and the 2004 presidential election ballots in Ohio raised some concern among many lawmakers and politicians. The list goes on and on, I just don't have enough patience to list every mishap.

A major problem with the push for impeachment is that it is more of an individual push; rather than a collective one. This is extremely evident within Congress. Many members of Congress have made valid attempts to bring impeachment upon Bush, but, they are never able to pull any congressional momentum in their efforts. Now that the Democrats control both chambers of Congress, it would be wise to come together and bring Bush down. Unfortunately, there is one major problem with the Democratic Party: they are pussies! If you didn't get that the first time, I will reiterate it for you, The Democratic party is full of pussies! After the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi backed down from her recent interest in pursuing a case for impeachment, the rest of the Democratic Party followed, like a line of dominoes.

Every twenty years or so, A president comes along and changes the way we think about politics. JFK did it in the 60's, Ronald Reagan did it in the 80's, and George Bush has definitely done it in the new millennium. As a black male living in America, I have never fully trusted our government, but, I always kept good faith, and realized that everything in life has its good and bad aspects. A majority of Americans feel the same way, but, the Bush Administration has created a new distrust in our government. Scandals, lies, and deceit has been a common theme for the past seven years. I addition there has been numerous resignations and terminations in the Bush era, most commonly known is the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld. Even though Bush has only a year left in his term, and if impeached, Dick "Trigger Happy" Cheney would become our president, I believe that seeing Bush impeached would change the current psyche of American politics; Americans would put their faith back into the government, realizing that they have our best interest at heart. It's time for a change. These government officials need to be reminded of who got them their jobs. Us, we, the citizens, the voters; we got them their jobs. If they want to act like children, then, we shall treat them like children. Sometimes children need discipline, in order to remind them that there are consequences for their actions. When disciplined, it teaches the child that positive things create a greater good for society. Just as Ivan Pavlov's experiment taught dogs that positive actions create positive reinforcements. But I wonder, If the authoritative figures are the ones misbehaving like children; who shall be the authoritative figures to discipline them?

  3. Well Anonymous, Do you believe that there is a strong case to impeach President Bush? And what is the reasoning for your opinion?

  4. How about, "impeach Bush because it's the best way to support the troops?" I agree with you totally and I'm just looking for a witty way to say it. It took a long time, but America eventually realized that Nixon had to be impeached.

Here's a question for you. What will Bush have to do before America finally say, "now you've gone to far!" I think what I'm really asking is, what will Bush have to do before REPUBLICANS say, "now you've gone to far?" That's going to be the standard for impeachment, I suspect.

What offends us doesn't matter, because we've always been opposed to Bush since day one. What could he do that would offend even the 28% of America that still supports him?

By the way . . . Wasn't Bush supposed to attack Iran with bunker buster nuclear bombs this spring, unintentionally (or callously) spreading nuclear radiation across much of the Middle East and Europe?

  6. The anonymous comment was quite entertaining. It really got me when he proclaimed "no half serious Constitutional scholar would give those a second thought".

For the record, it doesn't take a Constitutional Scholar to recognize the ills of this current presidency.

4 Reasons Why BET Is An Embarrassment To Black People

1. BET(Black Entertainment Television) did not air Coretta Scott King’s funeral on it’s station. BET claimed it wanted to offer viewers a different kind of experience by posting a live webcast on it’s website of the funeral where viewers could access it "at work, at home, traveling,[and] at school". Likewise, the four major networks; NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX all broadcast their own live webcasts on their respective websites. But these stations as well broadcast the funeral on television. C-SPAN and CNN also aired the funeral live. This reason alone proves that BET is the epitome of trash on television. And not to equate the struggle of blacks with Coretta Scott King, but there would be no BET without her. BET felt that viewers would prefer to watch women shaking their rumps in music videos rather than some funeral for a beloved civil rights leader. 2. BET is not black entertainment television. It does not represent the views and ideals of the millions of Blacks in the United S...

Black Salvage Blog of the Month: "Fed Up"

I would like to present to Black Salvage readers the first regular segment to appear on the site, "Blog of the Month". The intent of these monthly pieces is quite simple really; to provide awareness of many of the great blogs and sites out there relevant to our focus. [Below is a sample of the type of pictures that appear on this month's "Blog of the Month]. The first "Black Salvage Blog of The Month" recipient is author of the thoughtfully racist web log "Fed Up", which is home to dozens of anti-black writings(here is a link, http://intolerant.wordpress.com). The author, who goes by the pen name "Intolerant" has been writing about his love of hating people of the African diaspora since November of 2005. Stories on the blog range from jokes to serious pieces on the all the supposed ills of black people in the author's opinion. Before the comments questioning my reasoning for entertaining such a blog come in, let me first ask you ...

Racism on Xbox Live

Anyone who knows me well, or well enough knows that I do my fair share of video gaming. Now honestly, I never thought that video games would have take the topic of discussion on The Black Salvage, but here we are. . . Your’s truly was playing Grand Theft Auto online via Xbox Live the other day. Those familiar with online console gaming will know that there is a ‘forum’ type area before matches begin, where players can communicate with each other if they have the headset and do things like talk trash. . . or. . . .call Your’s Truly a nigger, filthy nigger(while imitating a Southern accent), and nigger-lover. Why any of this was even necessary is beyond me. And the expletives I and others were called was not limited to just these. People were expressing their hatred of Jews as well as Hispanics. The token Asian slur was also thrown about. One person even told me, that “blacks are only good for peanut-butter and basketball”. One player told me that "black people can't afford Xbo...
