BET says 'NO' to Coretta Scott King

This will ultimately be the first of many posts bashing BET(Black Entertainment Television). It is a necessary though, so bear with me. Several months ago, when beloeved civil rights leader Coretta Scott King passed away, BET denied her funeral a live broadcast on it’s station. I’m not going to preach right now, but BET owes its existence in part to Coretta Scott King and many others. For the station not to broadcast her funeral is insulting to blacks, but then again, this is a station that proudly shows pornography. . . What is the “Black Salvage”? That is a difficult question to answer and then likewise it can be simple. But to break things down, the Black Salvage is literally, a means to reach out to blacks and try to salvage our future. There is so much that breaks down the progess of blacks in America, and much of it is the fault of blacks. If anything, this weblog is a place to reach out and take in knowledge, a place to take in power. . . My name is Jerel Ellegood. I’m a resident of Prince Georges County in Maryland.
